Premier League champions Chelsea are having another excellent season this year, and that is in part thanks to the brilliance of Eden Hazard. The winger has contributed five goals and three assists to the Blues’ title push in this campaign, despite being injured for the start of the season.

The belgian’s exploits have seen the London side climb to third place in the table after 15 games, though they find themselves 11 points off leaders Manchester City. The title is by no means decided at this stage, but it is becoming increasingly unlikely that Antonio Conte’s men will retain their crown.

With that in mind, it is perhaps unsurprising that Hazard is considering his future with the January transfer window approaching. According to the Mirror, the player had rejected the latest £300k-a-week deal put on the table by Chelsea, knowing that Spanish super club Real Madrid are interested in acquiring his services.

Los Blancos are having a dreadful season in La Liga, by their own high standards at least. They find themselves fourth in the table, eight points behind their eternal rivals Barcelona.

With Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema both struggling for goals in the league, Zinedine Zidane needs to add attacking talent quickly if his side is to catch up to the Blaugrana.
