Brazilian defender David Luiz’s faltering relationship with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has led to intense speculation in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail lead the race in reports claiming that former PSG centre-back could be sold for the second time this January.
Real Madrid could potentially be Luiz’s next destination as reports have it that reigning European and Spanish champions have been alerted by the Brazilian’s situation at Stamford Bridge.
David Luiz fell out with Antonio Conte after reacting angrily to being substituted against AS Roma. The Brazilian was subsequently dropped out of the first team and ordered to train alone.
He is not expected to get back to the squad for Chelsea’s Wednesday night duel against Swansea City which only increases speculation that the 30-year-old centre-back could leave London this winter.
Real Madrid are expected to make a couple of big moves in the transfer market this winter in order to reinforce their squad following a disappointing first part of the season and the sudden availability of David Luiz presents a chance Los Blancos are not expected to miss.
