Over the past two and half seasons, N’Golo Kante has established himself as one of the world’s top midfielders, becoming the first man since Eric Cantona to win back-to-back Premier League titles with different clubs.
The hype around the diminutive Frenchman has somewhat died down this season, largely due to the remarkable success of Manchester City, but that hasn’t stopped French super club PSG from registering an interest.
The Parisians want to bring the midfielder back to France in the summer, according to the Sun, and the addition of Kante would make their already stacked squad look even more fearsome.
Kante spent two seasons with Caen before his move to Leicester, and went on to win the unlikeliest of Premier League titles with the Foxes. He subsequently won the Premier League Player of the Season award in the 2016/17 campaign, having made the switch to Chelsea.
It is little surprise then that PSG are interested in the French international, and their interest comes at a time when Chelsea’s influence has waned somewhat since their title win. The Blues currently sit third in the table, a whopping 15 points behind City.
PSG meanwhile look set to run away with yet another Ligue 1 title, having established a nine point lead over rivals Monaco after 19 games.
