Premier League clubs have finished all of their transfer business on Thursday night just like the clubs from most of Europe’s top leagues.
La Liga clubs, however, will have an extra 25 hours to settle their market moves as Spanish FA this year decided to reschedule the starting and ending dates for the summer transfer window.
That said, Spanish clubs will have until midnight to do business and that’s good news for Atletico Madrid who are still hoping to seal the Diego Costa transfer.
The Spaniard remains desperate to leave Chelsea after being told he does not feature in Antonio Conte’s plans for new season. Disappointed by his club, the Spanish striker already left his home in London and is prepared to sit through the next six months just to return to Vicente Calderon.
Atletico Madrid are banned from signing new players until January but could find a way to make Costa their own player today.
Sky Sports report that the two clubs continue to negotiate a deal with more talks planned throughout Friday.
